Technical Sales - Services Repairs

The company is a leading supplier of industrial automation solutions and services looking for a long-term sales representative as a member of the Repairs & Services sales team.

This position is responsible for tasks including visiting territory accounts to increase sales in the designated region and enhance market share of our service and repair offerings.

The sales representative will assist customers with follow-up and update queries on their equipment repairs.

This position also requires travel to customer locations in the KZN region to develop new business and expand market position in existing accounts.

Objectives of the role

• To grow the current turnover of the company’s Services & Repairs Division.
• To identify new opportunities and customers with industrial repair and service requirements.
• To maintain and grow current relationships formed.
• To provide a contact point for customers requiring technical assistance on any repair or service-related query.
• To ensure customer understanding of the benefits of maintenance and the company’s ability to resolve electrical breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Make sales calls with the relevant head of department or engineering managers to assess how we can add value to their operations.
• Manage and develop business for Services and Repairs through various prospecting and marketing activities.
• Promptly follow up on sent quotes and provide customer feedback to management when necessary.
• Grow a pipeline in line with required targets.
• Adhere to safety instructions and follow directions.
• Work independently and be detail-oriented.
• Travel locally.
• Provide sales reports monthly of progress and targets.

Requirements

• Experience in sales in a B2B environment.
• Knowledge of CRM systems and processes.
• Knowledge of MS Windows, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of drives and motors is an added benefit.

This is more of a junior position to start under a senior rep, however, there is space for the person to grow into a senior rep position.
