Introduction

A vacancy exists for 2 experienced Entrepreneurial Dynamic Sales Representatives to grow sales and manage existing customers in predetermined parts of Central Pretoria and surrounding areas, as well as the West Rand and surrounding areas. This role is with a well-known manufacturer of abrasive products.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Research, develop, manage, and implement account plans to maximize current business and develop new opportunities for growth.
  2. Take full accountability for revenue streams, profitability, volume growth, and other key performance indicators for direct accounts.
  3. Negotiate, manage, and administer contractual obligations, pricing, and administrative requirements of accounts.
  4. Seek opportunities to reduce business costs with customers and develop sustainable partnerships.
  5. Minimize and manage potential channel conflicts to eliminate conflicts within this channel.
  6. Develop processes to measure, track, report, and communicate account performance, monitor trends, achievements, and performance against targets.
  7. Create reporting mechanisms to highlight competitor activities and market movements for sales and management review.
  8. Perform cost-benefit and needs analyses on existing and potential customers as part of the sales process.
  9. Conduct cold calling and develop growth strategies for existing customers within the sales area.
  10. Analyze market potential, track sales, and report on status.
  11. Meet and exceed sales budgets for volume and revenue.
  12. Manage the debtor's book effectively for the assigned sales portfolios.
  13. Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  14. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  15. Service and develop the existing customer base.
  16. Participate in open days and trade shows, conducting physical product demonstrations when applicable.
  17. Follow company planning, reporting, and customer management structures as determined by management.
  18. Adhere to the company price list and discount policies.
  19. Assist with annual stocktakes and control stock and expenditure within agreed limits.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Technical qualification and/or 5-7 years proven sales experience in a technical field.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
  • Knowledge of the abrasive industry is advantageous.
