Our client in the FMCG industry is currently looking to employ Technical Sales Representatives based in Maitland – Cape Town.

Requirements:
  • A relevant degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or an equivalent BSc qualification—such as Agriculture, Microbiology, or a related field—advantageous.
  • Driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.
  • Newly qualified graduates with up to two years of work experience are encouraged to apply.
  • African male (30-45 yrs old) required.
  • Previous external sales experience is essential.
  • The candidate must have their own vehicle.
  • Strong sales track record and ability to service clients within township areas.
Responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to:
  • Planning fortnightly call schedules and sales calls with customers.
  • Learning and applying customer classifications.
  • Building market share across all categories.
  • Researching and increasing product and industry knowledge.
  • Participating in promotional activities as per guidelines.
  • Building client relationships and ensuring effective service.
  • Submitting weekly sales reports by the deadline.
  • Proactively seeking new business and market opportunities.
  • Managing sales administration and other duties as required.
