Job description

To market and sell industrial valve products and solutions to process (Petro Chemical, Pulp and Paper, Steel mills, Food and Beverage, Power Generation or similar industries within Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo, Western Cape, Northern Cape region. The role requires deep technical understanding of industrial valve applications, compliance with industry standards, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions that optimize operational efficiency and safety. The representative is responsible for driving sales growth, maintaining key industrial client relationships, providing technical training and supporting after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Diploma in Business Management
  • Engineering degree (Preferably Mechanical) is advantageous

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Minimum 5-10 years sales experience within the valve industry, preferably industrial sector
  • Strong technical background in selling complex technical products
  • Sound knowledge of Sales leadership principles and techniques
  • In-depth understanding of the South African industrial market and competitors
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
  • Track record of consistently achieving Sales, Gross Profit (GP) and EBIT targets
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills across all organizational levels
  • Solid understanding of customer service principles and best practices
  • Strong numerical and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and people management skills
  • Effective problem solver and solutions provider
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Navision and Microsoft applications
  • Experience working in a corporate environment
  • Ability to analyze customer needs and recommend tailored technical solutions
  • Skilled in market research and competitive intelligence gathering
  • Experienced in delivering product training and technical presentations
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to client sites and industry events
