Job description

We are looking for a high-performing Technical Sales Representative (TSR) in the Mpumalanga area with an Agronomy / Agriculture background or experience. The TSR will be responsible for the sales and marketing of plant nutrition solutions to current and potential clients in the specific area of responsibility.

The TSR needs to understand the crop needs in the area and develop more effective farming practices by conducting research, sampling, testing, and solving complex agricultural problems using the company's unique product solutions developed over 60 years.

The TSR will work closely with clients and farmers to provide ongoing support, aiming to improve farming conditions and build long-term relationships.

POSITION INFO :
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Grow and manage a territory of clients, maintaining strong relationships with farmers.
  • Achieve sales targets set by management.
  • Meet distribution and growth objectives within the assigned geographic area.
  • Introduce innovative solutions, promote distribution, and prepare beneficial reports for clients.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, plan sales efforts, identify new opportunities, and maintain territory records.
  • Build trust with farmers through product knowledge, presentations, and objection handling.
  • Prepare and circulate sales and activity reports to management.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Sc. / diploma / degree or previous sales experience.
  • Experience as an Agronomist or in related sales roles.
  • Preferably experience in the agricultural inputs industry.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Decision-making skills: Ability to analyze information and make optimal decisions.
  • Planning skills: Ability to develop and execute plans efficiently.
  • Ability to identify and exploit new opportunities.
  • Knowledge of marketing techniques relevant to agriculture.
SALARY
  • Basic salary plus company vehicle and commission.
