Job description

Our client is seeking dynamic and driven Technical Sales Representatives to join their team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the sales and marketing of innovative products and concepts to both current and potential clients. This role requires a proactive approach to grow a new territory and achieve sales targets.

Minimum requirements :

  1. Experience in the agricultural environment
  2. An existing network in the agricultural sector
  3. Previous sales experience is a must
  4. Energetic, disciplined, persistent, and self-motivated / self-starter

Key responsibilities :

  1. Sales and Marketing: Promote and sell the client's products and concepts to current and potential clients
  2. Client Growth: Expand the client base and sales in the assigned territory through the client's concept
  3. Target Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets as set by management
  4. Relationship Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients to secure ongoing business opportunities
  5. Business Associate Management: Manage relationships with business associates, including clients, distribution agents, logistics contractors, and warehousing agents
  6. Distribution and Growth Objectives: Set and achieve distribution and sales goals within a specific geographic area through effective management strategies
  7. Product Introduction: Introduce new products, promote improved distribution channels, and ensure successful promotional results
  8. Market Awareness: Stay informed about market conditions, plan sales efforts intensively, identify new opportunities within each account, and maintain accurate territory records
  9. Educational Training: Conduct seminars and participate in trade events to provide educational training to clients and associations
  10. Farmer Trust: Build and nurture the trust and confidence of farmers through product knowledge, persuasive presentations, and addressing objections
  11. Sales and Admin Reports: Prepare sales and administrative reports, and circulate them to the company's management
  12. Stock Management: Assist with stock management, including record-keeping, forecasting, and ordering necessary stocks

Remuneration :

  1. Basic: R25 000 to R35 000 (negotiable depending on experience)
