Must be fluent in Afrikaans of any Ethnic group. A vacancy exists for Experienced Dynamic Sales Representatives to grow sales and manage existing customers in various provinces for a well-known manufacturer of abrasives products.
POSITION INFO :
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take full accountability for the achievement of revenue streams, profitability, volume growth, and other key performance areas/indicators for direct accounts in the portfolio.
- Minimise and manage potential channel conflict, with the goal of eliminating conflict in this channel.
- Develop processes to measure, track, report, and communicate account performance to ensure focus, monitoring trends, achievements, and performance against targets.
- Create reporting mechanisms highlighting market movements for Sales and Management.
- Penetrate competitor markets.
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis on existing and potential customers as part of the sales process.
- Conduct cold calls to new/potential customers and implement growth strategies for existing customers in the sales area.
- Analyze market potentials, track sales, and prepare status reports.
- Meet and exceed sales budgets (volume & revenue).
- Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while maintaining integrity and sound business practices.
- Service and develop the existing customer base.
- Participate in open days/trade shows and conduct product demonstrations.
- Follow company planning, reporting, and customer management structures.
- Adhere to the company's pricing and discount structures.
- Maintain and develop customer relationships through planned support and liaising with internal staff.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and after-sales care.
- Deliver internal and customer-facing presentations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to produce proposals and follow up with clients.
- Attend sales meetings and one-on-ones with the Sales Manager.
- Identify new opportunities within the region.
- Communicate new service and product opportunities, feedback, and market information to the Sales Manager.
- Coordinate efforts to close sales.
- Provide weekly feedback on lost sales and back orders.
- Submit monthly call plans and update CRM daily.
- Develop an annual sales plan for the sales area, including past sales, projections, targets, and key customers.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- A technical qualification and/or 3 years experience in a technical field.
- Valid unendorsed driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Strong negotiation skills.
Package & Remuneration
- R15,000 basic salary.
