Our client based in Germiston is seeking a Technical Sales Representative – Concrete Admixture to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering sales revenue based on national, regional, and personal sales targets.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Accountable for creating new and maintaining existing customer relationships within assigned areas.
- Maximize market advantage by focusing on the reseller/distribution sector while aligning with end-user requirements and overall customer relationship management.
- Manage personal trade spend within the assigned sales region.
- Engage with customers and internal/external supply chains to promote and demonstrate the functionality and value of products.
- Provide expertise and advice on the advantages of the Mapei product range.
- Communicate value propositions effectively, both internally and externally.
- Train customers on existing and new products, including value-added propositions.
- Focus on creating sustainable recurring revenue from the reseller/distribution market.
- Build sustainable relationships to maximize market advantage.
- Create a pipeline to ensure product pull-through at customer sites.
- Meet forecast accuracy targets set by management.
- Follow through from quotation to order finalization.
- Manage debt within the defined area of responsibility.
- Articulate Mapei’s offerings and highlight product advantages over competitors.
- Identify new opportunities for product enhancements through trained techniques, supply chain knowledge, and market understanding.
- Analyze customer product mix to demonstrate value addition for both the customer and Mapei, aligning with company strategy.
- Adhere to reporting procedures and administrative systems, providing feedback as required.
- Maintain strict ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Manage product performance issues according to company guidelines.
- Report on market trends, competitor offerings, and new products monthly.
- Update CRM with visit reports, customer information, and market intelligence.
- Attend internal and external meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of sales experience in the relevant industry.
