Job description

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the full sales process and be capable of prospecting clients and closing deals effectively.

The candidate aims to develop, grow, and maximize product offerings, system performance, sales targets, and profitability in line with company objectives and strategies.

Responsibilities

  1. Achieve sales revenue targets based on regional and personal sales goals.
  2. Own the creation of new customer relationships and maintain existing ones within the assigned area.
  3. Maximize market advantage through a strong focus on the contractor market sector, aligning with end user and specifier requirements, and managing customer relationships.
  4. Maintain personal trade spend within the assigned sales region.
  5. Engage with internal and external supply chains to promote and demonstrate system functionality and value.
  6. Provide technical expertise and advice on the advantages of the Mapei product range.
  7. Communicate value propositions effectively, both internally and externally.
  8. Train customers on existing and new products, including on-site demonstrations and hands-on training.
  9. Focus on project management to ensure successful project execution.
  10. Build sustainable relationships to maximize market advantage, ensuring KPIs regarding Mapei specifications versus projects are met.
  11. Maintain the target closure rate as established by management.
  12. Provide monthly forecasts on tracked projects and ensure forecast accuracy targets are met.
  13. Follow through from specification to order, ensuring finalization.
  14. Manage debt within the area of responsibility.
  15. Articulate Mapei's offerings and highlight product advantages over competitors.
  16. Identify new opportunities for product enhancements through trained techniques, supply chain knowledge, and market understanding.
  17. Analyze customer product mix to add value for both the customer and Mapei, aligning with company strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales within the construction industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
