Job description

We are seeking a results driven Technical Sales Representative to join our Industrial Automation team in Cape Town. As a Technical Sales Representatives you will have access to multiple reputable brands from various portfolios to address client needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial automation products and the markets in which they are used in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities
  • Address all customer inquiries including technical questions
  • Present technical products and solutions clearly and confidently
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth
  • Increase technical knowledge
  • Update CRM information and feedback on market
  • Attend networking events and trade shows

Requirements

Education:

  • Engineering/Electrical qualification advantageous
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in technical sales
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components in the automation industry, PLC’s, Switchgear, Cables, Sensors etc.
  • Proven track record of matching products to client needs and achieving sales targets.
