A well-established company in Cape Town is seeking a Technical Sales Manager. Responsibilities include developing relationships with key decision makers, increasing sales volume for yeast and other products, and managing a regional sales team. The ideal candidate should have a tertiary qualification in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably with a background in baking.
Maintaining customer focused sales approach.
Developing relationships with key decision makers.
Technical trouble shooting at bakery level, problem solving, resolving complaints.
Increasing sales volume and value primarily for yeast, but also across product categories.
Achieving profit margins.
Price negotiations and product costing.
Preparing for, and attending tradeshows.
Forecasting and planning.
Reporting on sales variances, market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities.
Regional budget preparation.
Manage / Supervise regional BSBU sales team.
Requirements :
Tertiary qualification in field of food technology / baking / sales and marketing advantageous
Min 5 years sales experience in FMCG
Baking experience preferable
Fully computer literate in MS Office
Code 8 drivers license
Acceptance to be on call 24 / 7
