Job Summary:

Are you a technically skilled graduate with a passion for solving real-world problems in the industrial, food & beverage, or pharmaceutical sectors? A Durban-based Technical Sales & Application Engineer is needed to support a diverse portfolio of clients by delivering technical support, conducting on-site trials, and developing new business opportunities.

This role is ideal for someone early in their engineering or scientific career who enjoys client interaction, practical problem-solving, and traveling to different client sites across KwaZulu-Natal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and filtration solution recommendations to clients across multiple sectors.
  • Conduct on-site trials, plant visits, product testing, and client training sessions.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and sales teams to deliver customized process solutions.
  • Identify and follow up on new sales leads to support business growth.
  • Maintain accurate technical reports and customer feedback logs.
  • Work independently from a home office base when not traveling.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSc or National Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related technical field.
  • 1-2 years experience in a technical sales, application, or customer-facing engineering role.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Practical, hands-on approach to solving process or filtration-related issues.
  • Valid drivers license and own, reliable vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel regionally (mostly within KwaZulu-Natal).
