Job description

Salary : Industry Related, depending on experience

Our client is seeking a dynamic and technically minded Technical Sales Consultant to join our Pretoria-based team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating sales, meeting with clients, creating quotes, and offering technical insights related to solar system performance. This is a client-facing role that combines technical knowledge with proactive sales skills.

Working hours :

  • Monday – Friday : 08 : 00 – 16 : 30

Minimum requirements :

  • Grade 12
  • Technical and / or Electrical background would be highly beneficial
  • Previous working experience doing sales and / or working directly with customers
  • Knowledge of Solar would be highly beneficial
  • Knowledge of Victron VRM and Sunsynk Online Monitoring or Helioscope systems would be highly beneficial but not a must
  • Must have a driver’s license and own car to do visits (AA rates will be paid for work related travel)
  • Technical problem-solving ability
  • Friendly and honest person with an outgoing nature

Duties :

  • Conduct site visits and client meetings to discuss solar energy needs and present suitable solutions
  • Draft and follow up on sales quotations
  • Install Tidy Tag meters to measure power consumption
  • Prepare and deliver new quotes to prospective clients
  • Follow up on leads and engage with previous clients to close deals
  • Provide technical sales support and explain product / system benefits to customers
  • Maintain accurate client records and monitor sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with the installation team to ensure client needs are aligned with technical capabilities
