Job description

Technical Sales Representative : Refrigeration & Air-Conditioners

National Company with an office in George is on a recruitment drive for a Technical Sales Representative within the Refrigeration and Air-conditioning industry to joint their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible to market, sell and upsell full range of products and service offerings, to grow and develop market share. Secure new clients and drive new business, whilst maintaining existing client contracts.

Major areas of Responsibility include but not limited to :

  • Achievement of daily sales / profit targets
  • To ensure that the companies image is maintained and promoted within the market
  • Liaison with existing customers / suppliers in a manner in which would further promote the profitability of the branch
  • Provide continuous market intelligence to management
  • Compliance with relevant EH&S obligations
  • To provide customers with technical support with respect to products
  • Design / Quoting of products for Commercial Refrigeration, OEM and IR
  • To focus on the long terms growth and profitability of the branch, and achieve budgets as agreed with the Branch Manager
  • To build sound relationships with quality customers to facilitate the longer-term growth in the order book of the branch
  • To work closely with our contractor base to source large project enquiries and convert to sales
  • To assist with Stock-take, inventory counts, branch admin and other duties that will be assigned from time to time
  • SHEQ compliance

POSITION INFO : Job Requirements :

  • Five years' experience - refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment
  • Five years' experience - wholesale and retail environment
  • Sales / marketing qualification would be hugely advantageous
  • Well-developed inter-personal skills
  • A conscientious and open mind with an eye for business opportunities
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Fully computer literate - MS Office Suite
