Essentials
BSc Hons/MSc in Biotechnology/relevant, plus proven sales experience (ideally 2y in external sales), + hands-on, lab-based experience in bioprocessing, cell culture, protein expression & purification OR experience in pharma manufacturing at a SAPHRA licensed facility focused on sterile API production. Valid Code 8 drivers license, own vehicle, SA citizens only.

Our client is a well-established & reputable distributor of high-quality instrumentation, consumables & lab-based solutions for organisations & companies within the Life Science / Analytical Chemistry / Biopharma space. This role will oversee the Bioprocessing portfolio and product ranges will include instruments and consumables related to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and bioprocessing industry (e.g. single-use bioprocessing equipment, filtration systems, bioreactors, chromatography solutions and other related technologies).
This role will suit an individual with high ambition-levels, who can enthusiastically & professionally drive sales in their regions (which includes Johannesburg & the Eastern Cape). The successful incumbent will be responsible for not only maintaining current customers but will actively seek out new customers and engage them to boost sales. Responsibilities will include providing expert technical advice, customer care, lead generation and collaboration within the team & with relevant business partners.
