Job summary

A well-known personal care company is seeking a candidate to support sales and product managers, ensuring excellent service in managing stock orders and client relations. SUMMARY :

A well-known personal / health care company distributing speciality active and functional ingredients as well as fragrances into the personal care manufacturing and health care markets requires the above to support the sales and product managers to ensure that customers are provided with an excellent service.

POSITION INFO :

Minimum requirements for the role :

  • A tertiary qualification in life sciences, cosmetic chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field is essential.
  • Experience in a cosmetic or pharma laboratory is preferred but not mandatory; recent graduates are welcome to apply and will be trained.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.
  • A flair for marketing and communications is advantageous.

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Supporting sales and product managers to provide excellent service to customers in the personal care and healthcare markets, focusing on speciality active ingredients, functional ingredients, and fragrances.
  • Liaising with clients to manage stock orders based on forecasts, averages, and firm orders, and addressing delays in stock arrivals.
  • Monitoring stock with short shelf lives and slow-moving inventory, informing sales and product managers accordingly.
  • Coordinating with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure timely delivery of stock.
  • Collaborating with procurement, finance, and sales teams to provide customers with accurate information regarding their orders.
  • Visiting clients occasionally with the sales team to build relationships and understand their product needs.
  • Processing, tracking, and managing quotations and orders; supporting technical and service staff with client queries and administrative tasks related to sales.
  • Acting as a liaison between customers and suppliers to relay technical information accurately.
  • Assisting in matching customer formulation requirements with suitable ingredient solutions.
  • Staying informed about market trends, innovations, and competitors in the personal care and dermatology ingredients sector.
