Job description

Take a leadership role in the technical financial reporting for the Company and its clients. Focusing on analyzing data for specific reporting and creating required reports, the preparation and oversight of specific statutory reporting, and provision of technical skills needed to comply with applicable standards.

Adhoc technical reporting and project management as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Qualified CA with post-article experience essential.
  2. Experience with IFRS reporting.
  3. Strong understanding of Income tax and strong experience in the drafting and understanding of financial statements.
  4. Experience in a corporate finance environment advantageous.
  5. Draftworx / CaseWare experience.
  6. JDE / Insight reporting and Cognos will be an advantage.

DUTIES:

  1. Assist with technical queries (IFRS) and prepare any related technical opinions as required.
  2. The preparation of certain financial statements and the review of financial statements as required.
  3. Oversight of income and deferred tax calculations for the relevant entities under management.
  4. Assistance in the preparation and submission of provisional tax returns and annual IT14 returns for entities under management.
  5. Overseeing the submission of all statutory returns.
  6. Assisting the auditors at interim and final audit and preparation of relevant working papers.
  7. Assist with IFRS and other reporting requirements and disclosures at interim and year end.
  8. Must have a detailed understanding of reporting standards and be up to date with new effective standards.
  9. Assist in the drafting and implementation of policies related to the financial systems and procedures.
  10. Support Financial Managers throughout the reporting process.
  11. Assist with reporting and oversee financial reporting undertaken by Realfin.
  12. Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.
  13. Involvement in ad-hoc projects related to the financial and administration needs of the finance Division.
