About Eriez :

Job Purpose :

This role involves servicing a sales pipeline and converting opportunities into sales growth for Eriez's Flotation products in Africa. The Technical Process Sales Engineer will develop sales channels, work with clients and agents, and support technical services and testing to promote applications. The position acts as a brand ambassador for Eriez Flotation products.

Key Responsibilities :

Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ):

  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ responsibilities and statutory legislation.

Business Development:

  • Identify opportunities, build and maintain a sales pipeline, and achieve sales growth.
  • Convert opportunities into orders through solution-based and relationship selling.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial sales proposals.

Sales Channels:

  • Support regional agents and maintain key accounts.
  • Leverage site technical services to promote aftermarket sales.

Strategic:

  • Identify key opportunities and coordinate resources.
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences.
  • Work with the Flotation Manager to set sales budgets by product and territory.

Organization:

  • Champion products like Columns, HydroFloat, StackCell, and Sparging Systems.
  • Manage opportunities, accounts, and targets to grow business in Africa.
  • Aim for 40-50% customer face time as per KPIs.

Reporting:

  • Summarize sales opportunities, market, and competitor analysis for meetings.
  • Complete technical reports on flotation testing and equipment sizing.
  • Update project statuses in CRM and prepare reports.

Process:

  • Serve as liaison with customers and agents to determine proper applications.
  • Plan and conduct testing programs, analyze data, and report findings.
  • Develop technical and commercial proposals, estimate budgets, and present to clients.
  • Manage client projects from concept to delivery, ensuring smooth handovers.
  • Share product improvements and field experiences for continuous improvement.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system deviations.

Requirements :

  • BSc/BTech in Metallurgical/Chemical Engineering or related field (NQF level 7).
  • Postgraduate degree is a plus.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in mineral processing, including flotation and field services.

Key Skills :
