Job summary

Impact.com is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own the foundational data layer that powers benchmarking, classification, and personalization systems. You will manage taxonomy ecosystems, data quality, and the prototype-to-production workflow, ensuring production readiness of data assets.

The role requires SQL and dbt fluency, cross‑functional collaboration with data engineers and DS teams, and a rigorous approach to edge cases. Join our data-driven team at Impact.com.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a technical Product Management, data Product Management, or data governance role with ownership of taxonomy or classification at scale.
• Experience designing or maintaining taxonomy/classification systems across multiple verticals or entity types.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve classification structures for partners, brands, products, and content.
• Design and maintain GEO prompt category taxonomy.
• Build proprietary product taxonomies for verticals not covered by GMC (Google Merchant Center).
• Own the action tracker taxonomy and audience segmentation taxonomy.
• Collaborate with domain experts to refine taxonomy definitions and adapt structures as new entity types emerge.
• Conduct data quality audits and define KPIs (classification accuracy, coverage gaps, taxonomy drift).
• Co-own the developer playbook for promoting taxonomies and data outputs from prototype to production.
• Review schema changes and validate classification logic in PR workflows alongside engineering.
• Translate taxonomy/data quality findings into actionable recommendations for engineering, DS, and business stakeholders.
