Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical/maintenance work required.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems and security systems essential.
• Auto Electrician and Diesel mechanic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing electrical issues and maintaining vehicle security systems.
• General maintenance on vehicles including repairs and replacements.
• Compiling paperwork and ensuring vehicle systems are functional.

Job description

The above position is vacant at our Durban Office. The overall purpose of this position is to perform electrical work on security and risk items.

Minimum Requirements

1. Clear criminal record
2. Excellent communication skills
3. Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
4. At least 5 years’ experience in technical/maintenance work
5. Bulugaya System experience is advantageous
6. Must be able to work unsupervised
7. Must have knowledge of different types of vehicles
8. Must be familiar with cameras, biometrics, and electrical fences
9. Valid driver's license
10. Diesel mechanic experience
11. Knowledge of vehicle systems for CIT vehicles
12. Own transport is an advantage
13. Must be willing to travel and work extended hours when required
14. Auto Electrician experience

Job Specification (not Totally Inclusive)

1. Diagnosing electrical issues and vehicle security systems
2. Checking and replacement of the required wiring of the vehicle system
3. General maintenance on OTC vehicles including replacement of faulty OTC locks and attending to vehicle breakdowns
4. Compiling paperwork for each vehicle
5. Replacement of broken keypads
6. General maintenance
7. Repairing air conditioning systems
