Job summary

Agritalent, on behalf of a leading agribusiness, seeks a Technical Lead: Energy Engineering to drive energy efficiency, sustainability and renewable energy initiatives across the company.

You will evaluate electrical consumption, implement energy-saving measures, oversee solar or wind projects, collaborate with the sustainability team and external partners, and report on energy performance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience as a B.Tech Electrical or Mechanical Engineer.
• B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical consumption patterns to identify energy efficiency opportunities.
• Recommend and implement energy-saving initiatives (VFDs, efficient lighting).
• Assess feasibility of renewable energy solutions (solar, wind) to support sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with sustainability team to integrate electrical solutions reducing carbon footprint.
• Monitor energy data and report on effectiveness of initiatives.
• Support renewable energy projects and related feasibility studies.

An Agritalent client, a leading agribusiness, seeks a Technical Lead: Energy Engineering.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Energy Efficiency & Sustainability
   • Evaluating electrical consumption patterns and identifying opportunities to enhance energy efficiency.
   • Recommending and implementing energy-saving initiatives, such as variable frequency drives and energy-efficient lighting.
   • Assessing the feasibility of renewable energy solutions, such as solar panels or wind turbines, to support sustainability goals.
   • Collaborating with the sustainability team to integrate electrical solutions that reduce the company's carbon footprint.
   • Monitoring and analysing energy usage data to track the effectiveness of implemented initiatives.
   • Providing reports and recommendations for continuous improvement in energy management practices.
2. Renewable Energy
   • Support the development and implementation of renewable energy projects, such as solar power systems, wind turbines, or biomass energy systems.
   • Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations for renewable energy installations.
   • Assist in conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for renewable energy projects.
   • Monitor and maintain renewable energy systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
   • Assist in the integration of renewable energy systems into existing electrical infrastructure.

Desired Experience & Qualification

3 - 5 years experience working as a B.Tech Electrical or Mechanical Engineer.
