About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established financial services organization, is looking for a Technical Lead to act as the senior technical authority for its Corporate Domain. You will guide solution design, platform governance and delivery excellence across multiple enterprise systems, including Salesforce/CRM, Finance, Risk, Complaints and Website platforms.

The role blends hands‑on technical leadership with architectural oversight, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable and aligned to business strategy and regulatory requirements. Because Finance and Risk systems carry real audit and compliance weight, you will understand the reasoning behind controls, not just implement them.

You will mentor low code / no code developers, uplift engineering practices and act as the technical escalation point for complex workflow, integration and data challenges, working closely with product owners, business analysts, architecture, cyber security and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership and Architecture

• Define and enforce platform standards, development patterns, naming conventions and documentation expectations
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance and audit requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in platform performance, reliability and scalability

Delivery, Execution and Production Support

• Execute end-to‑end technical delivery for enhancements, new features and major system upgrades
• Step in hands‑on to build or fix complex configurations, workflows and integrations when issues exceed the team's current capability, without taking over day‑to‑day delivery from developers
• Act as the named escalation contact for complex or high‑severity production incidents, providing hands‑on diagnosis and remediation
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for recurring or complex production defects and implement or guide the fix
• Identify and communicate technical dependencies across Salesforce/CRM, Finance, Risk, Website and Complaints systems
• Ensure high‑quality releases through robust testing, peer review and deployment governance
• Champion automation, reusable components and best‑practice configuration

Mentoring

• Mentor low code / no code developers in workflow design, integration, testing and documentation
• Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity and continuous learning, including adoption of new technologies such as AI‑assisted development tools

Stakeholder Engagement

• Translate business needs into technical design and solution architecture for low code / no code applications across CRM, Finance, Risk and Complaints systems
• Communicate technical decisions, risks and trade‑offs clearly to non‑technical stakeholders
• Work with Architecture, Cyber Security and Data teams to review designs, workflow logic, data models and integration approaches
• Manage vendor relationships for platform support, upgrades and escalations, directing and reviewing third‑party ERP/EPM build work (e.g. NetSuite, Anaplan) and holding vendors to account on quality and design decisions

Risk, Compliance and Quality

• Ensure solutions comply with financial, operational and regulatory requirements
• Oversee technical controls for Risk and Complaints systems, including audit trails, permissions and data integrity
• Proactively identify technical risks, platform constraints and remediation opportunities
• Maintain high‑quality documentation across designs, workflows, integrations and release notes

Minimum Requirements

Must‑have: Integration and data flow, the connective tissue across these systems.

• REST API design (OpenAPI/Swagger, versioning) and SOAP/WSDL integration
• OAuth2/JWT security, retry and error‑handling patterns
• Azure Service Bus / Event Grid for asynchronous, cross‑system integration
• Cross‑system data movement and orchestration across Finance, Risk and other corporate platforms

Delivery and leadership:

Proven experience as a senior developer or architect, comfortable staying hands‑on with configuration, workflow building, code review and troubleshooting

• Strong experience leading low code / no code platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, Power Platform, Protecht or similar)
• Strong mentoring track record, uplifting junior and mid‑level developers
• Experience implementing development standards, code review processes and documentation frameworks
• Strong understanding of risk management, compliance obligations and audit requirements
• Ability to identify technical debt and drive remediation
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under time pressure

Works Confidently With

Broad, hands‑on‑capable exposure is required across these areas; deep expert‑level depth in each is not.

• Salesforce: Apex, LWC, Visualforce, REST/SOAP and Bulk APIs, Platform Events, SFDX, data and security model
• Azure: App Services, Functions, APIM, Application Gateway, Key Vault, Azure DevOps, Application Insights / Log Analytics
• Data engineering: Azure Synapse Analytics, Python (pandas, PySpark), Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
• Application development: C# / .NET Core, microservices principles, unit and integration testing
• Databases: SQL Server / Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage
• DevOps: ARM/Bicep or Terraform, CI/CD pipeline design, Git branching strategies
• Architecture: technical design documentation, non‑functional requirements (scalability, security), Agile/Scrum estimation
• ERP/EPM platforms (e.g. NetSuite, Anaplan): directing vendor teams and understanding how these systems integrate with the wider estate

Advantageous

• Certifications in relevant low code / no code platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Dynamics, Power Platform) or ERP / finance systems
• Experience in financial services, insurance or other regulated industries
• Exposure to AI‑assisted development, workflow optimization or automation tooling
• Background in enterprise architecture or solution design
