Position Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Human Identification / Forensics Sales Specialist to drive sales growth and support forensic solutions across sub- Sahara Africa. The person will be based in Johannesburg.

This role combines technical expertise in forensic sciences, human identification technologies, and a strong business acumen to develop and manage relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share across sub-Sahara Africa.
  • Provide in-depth technical consultations and product demonstrations to customers for both CE workflow and NGS.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including forensic professionals, government agencies, and private laboratories.
  • Organize and deliver technical training sessions, workshops, and seminars for customers and Commercial Partners in collaboration with our Applications Specialist(s).
  • Work closely with global sales, marketing, and product development teams to align strategies and enhance offerings.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in forensic science : advanced degree or certifications in forensics or sales management are a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management within the forensics or human identification industry.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a large territory.
  • Experience with forensic tools and technologies such as DNA sequencers and software solutions : Strong understanding of forensic laboratory workflows, DNA testing, and related technologies.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across sub- Sahara Africa to meet clients and attend industry events.
