Position Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Human Identification / Forensics Sales Specialist to drive sales growth and support forensic solutions across sub-Sahara Africa. The person will be based in Johannesburg. This role combines technical expertise in forensic sciences, human identification technologies, and a strong business acumen to develop and manage relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share across sub-Sahara Africa.
  2. Provide in-depth technical consultations and product demonstrations to customers for both CE workflow and NGS.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including forensic professionals, government agencies, and private laboratories.
  4. Organize and deliver technical training sessions, workshops, and seminars for customers and Commercial Partners in collaboration with our Applications Specialist(s).
  5. Work closely with global sales, marketing, and product development teams to align strategies and enhance offerings.

Position Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in forensic science; advanced degree or certifications in forensics or sales management are a plus.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management within the forensics or human identification industry.
  3. Proven ability to work independently and manage a large territory.
  4. Experience with forensic tools and technologies such as DNA sequencers and software solutions; strong understanding of forensic laboratory workflows, DNA testing, and related technologies.
  5. Willingness to travel extensively across sub-Sahara Africa to meet clients and attend industry events.
