Job summary

Reverside is seeking an Enterprise Architect / Technical Lead to provide architectural governance and hands-on leadership for complex multi-platform systems. The role focuses on integrating OT, applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity and enterprise platforms into a secure, reliable solution.

You will lead architecture reviews, coordinate teams across Eskom and partners, and ensure designs meet performance, security and disaster recovery requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or solution delivery.
• TOGAF 9 or higher certification.
• CCIE-level expertise or equivalent experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design reviews, defining standards and criteria.
• Oversee architecture decisions, risks, exceptions, and remediation actions.

We are seeking an Enterprise Architect / Technical Lead toprovide architectural governance and hands-on technical leadership for Eskom’sCoal Automation System (CAS). The role focuses on integrating operationaltechnology (OT), applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity and enterpriseplatforms into a secure, reliable and supportable solution. The successfulcandidate will lead architecture reviews, coordinate technical teams, resolvecross-platform integration challenges and ensure solutions meet performance,security, availability and disaster recovery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture and design reviews, definingstandards, principles and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee architecture decisions, technical risks,exceptions, technical debt and remediation actions.
• Ensure solution designs and supplierdeliverables align with approved architecture.
• Coordinate design discussions with Eskom,delivery partners, OEMs, vendors, security teams and operational stakeholders.
• Assess architectural changes for security,performance, availability, data integrity, capacity and disaster recovery impacts.
• Provide architectural oversight of integrationsbetween OT devices, applications, Kafka, SAP and enterprise integrationplatforms.
• Define production-readiness, monitoring, servicecontinuity and operational support requirements.
• Coordinate networking, DNS, routing, proxies,whitelisting, firewall rules, certificates and service accounts.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues acrossapplications, ThingWorx, Commander Platform, APIs, integration services,infrastructure and OT devices.
• Coordinate technical changes acrossapplication, infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, Eskom integration andvendor teams.
• Lead cross-platform incident triage using logs,traces, network testing and configuration analysis.
• Coordinate the integration of alerts andincidents into OSSI and ServiceNow.
• Support security monitoring integration withAzure Sentinel and Cortex XSIAM.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments,penetration testing, SAST and DAST, including remediation, retesting andrelease evidence.
• Coordinate application and integrationparticipation in disaster recovery failover and failback testing.
• Oversee OT integration dependencies involvingPLCs, Weight meters, Edge Devices, Gates and site networks.
• Maintain accurate architecture documentation,configuration inventories, interface specifications, troubleshooting guides andoperational runbooks.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5–8+ years of relevant experience in EnterpriseArchitecture, Solution Architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterpriseintegration or technical solution delivery.
• Senior experience leading large, multi-vendorand multi-technology programmes through design, implementation, commissioningand operational transition.
• Proven experience in architecture governance,design reviews, exception management and technical decision-making.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration,OT/IT convergence, cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure and disasterrecovery.
• Hands-on technical troubleshooting experienceacross networks, APIs, messaging platforms, proxies and security technologies.
• Experience coordinating technical teams acrossapplication, infrastructure, network and operational technology environments.
• Strong technical documentation, stakeholdermanagement and communication skills.
• TOGAF 9 or higher certification.
