Technical Development Manager - Pharmaceutical raw materials

An established chemical manufacturer is actively seeking an experienced Technical Specialist to provide solutions to their Pharma business partners, ensuring that products and services meet their needs, by resolving technical issues in formulations in a timely and efficient manner.

POSITION INFO :

Minimum requirements for the role :

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, i.e. Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical Formulation development will be required
• Must have experience with CRM software and technical support tools
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and quality control standards are essential
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to customer sites (40% of time)

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

• Providing technical support to customers via phone, email, online, or in-person meetings.
• Responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving technical issues.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Conducting product training and demonstrations for customers.
• Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, inquiries, and feedback.
• Troubleshooting technical issues and working with and product development teams to resolve them.
• Providing feedback to the product development team on customer needs and trends.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and FAQs.
• Participating in product development projects, providing technical expertise and feedback.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and new technologies.
• Collaborating and participating in trade fairs and customer seminars as sales promotion measures.
• Providing technical support for South Africa, as well as East Africa, West Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
