Role Summary: We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst | Project Manager to bridge the gap between business goals and technology execution at FXCH. In this hybrid role, you will translate our business needs into clear technical requirements and manage projects end-to-end in the crypto clearing and settlement domain. You’ll coordinate between stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet business objectives. This is a full-time mid-level role ideal for someone with a strong technical background (engineering experience or education preferred) who is excited about driving projects in a fintech startup environment. (Note: Prior crypto experience is not required, but an interest in the digital asset space is highly desired.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations: Involved in the day to day support of clients, reconciliations, system configuration. In this way become an expert on the business applications that we utilise, enabling you to identify opportunities to improve and optimise.

• Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Work with internal stakeholders (product, operations, compliance, and leadership) to gather business requirements. Analyze and document these requirements in technical terms that developers and architects can act upon.

• Project Planning & Execution: Define project scopes, milestones, and deliverables for initiatives related to crypto trading, clearing, and settlement. Create and manage project plans or sprint backlogs, ensuring alignment with business timelines.

• Cross-Team Liaison: Serve as the bridge between the business side and the tech team. Facilitate clear communication of project goals, changes, and expectations. Conduct regular check-ins with developers and designers to track progress and address roadblocks.

• Technical Documentation: Produce functional specifications, user stories, flow diagrams, or requirement documents as needed. Ensure all technical changes and features are well-documented for both internal reference and future onboarding.

• Quality Assurance & Delivery: Coordinate user acceptance testing and validate that delivered features meet the business needs. Monitor project outcomes and post-launch performance, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.

• Stakeholder Management: Regularly update non-technical stakeholders on project status, risks, and milestones. Manage priorities and negotiate feature trade-offs in collaboration with leadership to keep projects on track.

• Innovation & Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve product workflows or operational processes. Stay informed about industry trends (fintech, crypto, clearing systems) to suggest innovative solutions that keep FXCH ahead of the curve.

Ideal Candidate:

• Background & Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Product Manager, or Technical Project Manager role. A background in software engineering or IT (or a relevant STEM degree) is strongly preferred, as this role requires understanding technical architectures and APIs.

• Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps. Comfortable using data and metrics to inform decisions and measure success.

• Project Management Skills: Proven experience driving projects from concept to completion. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.) for tracking tasks and progress. Able to manage timelines, dependencies, and resources effectively.

• Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of translating technical information to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa. Fluent in English (written and spoken); able to produce clear documentation and presentations.

• Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of software development processes and web/cloud technologies. Able to discuss technical details with developers and contribute to solution brainstorming. Experience with API integrations, fintech systems, or trading platforms is a plus.

• Adaptability & Drive: Self-motivated and adaptable, with a startup mindset. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can wear multiple hats. Interest in cryptocurrency or blockchain is a plus – you stay curious about emerging tech in finance and are eager to learn more on the job.

• Attention to Detail: Diligent in following up on open items and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. You take ownership of outcomes and have a track record of delivering projects that meet requirements and quality standards.
