Job title : Technical and Administrative Assistant

Reports to : MD / CEO
Overall Responsibility : The Technical and Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing both administrative and operational support to the Director and the wider team. This role includes managing office coordination, supporting on-site testing activities, attending internal and external meetings, and assisting with compliance-related functions. The individual must be technically knowledgeable, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. A strong work ethic, high level of discretion, and alignment with the company’s values, including Christian principles, are essential.
Responsibilities
- Administrative and Operational Support
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, and office documentation.
- Manage filing systems, compliance records, and reporting.
- Provide personal and professional support to the Director.
- Assist with report drafting, document prep, and presentation material.
- Technical and Field Support – Assist with basic on-site electrical testing or preparation.
- Ensure tools, documentation, and compliance equipment are ready.
- Support project setup, including travel coordination and site access.
- Client and Internal Communication – Attend meetings (internal and on-site) and assist with minutes / follow-up.
- Serve as a liaison between management and site staff / clients.
- Uphold professionalism and client-friendly communication at all times.
Qualifications
- Education
- Matric / Grade 12 (required)
- Electrical knowledge or exposure (formal qualification not required)
- Work Experience
- Minimum 15–25 years’ experience in a dual-role environment (technical + administrative)
- Prior work in an electrical, maintenance, or compliance environment strongly preferred
- Experience working independently and managing sensitive information
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- No criminal record (essential for site access)
- Must be willing and able to travel and stay overnight when required
- Skills / Competencies Required
- Technical Understanding : Basic knowledge of electrical principles and testing environments.
- Administrative Proficiency : Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and documentation systems.
- Communication : Professional and polite; fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Independence & Initiative : Able to manage tasks and work unsupervised.
- Team Orientation : Able to collaborate and support colleagues when needed.
- Integrity and Discretion : Trustworthy with access to confidential business matters.
- Wellness & Fitness : Fit to pass medical tests required for on-site access.
