Job description

Minimum requirements for the role :

  • Must have a B. Agric. / B. Sc. Agric degree
  • Must possess AVCASA or BASOS accreditation and be prepared to work towards acquiring both within a reasonable period
  • Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience in the agricultural industry, specifically in agrochemicals, agriculture, or nutrition
  • Technical knowledge and experience within the citrus, table, and wine grape industry is essential
  • Good customer relationship skills along with technical and agrochemical knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is advantageous; knowledge of .NET is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license, own reliable transport, and medically fit to drive
  • Willingness to travel to support Crop Advisors and service cross-border clients as required
  • Fluency in both English and Afrikaans is a prerequisite

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Developing spray programs for clients, incorporating in-house products, and adhering to MRL guidelines and label recommendations
  • Using crop programs and technical support to drive regional sales strategies
  • Monitoring the implementation of recommendations
  • Conducting crop inspections with Crop Advisors during the season to identify issues and suggest corrective actions
  • Performing in-house product trials on specific crops to enhance product knowledge and confidence
  • Organizing training workshops for Crop Advisors on in-house products and third-party products as needed
  • Engaging with customers using the Turbo toolbox selling methodology for problem-solving
  • Providing technical support and training to Crop Advisors through on-field analysis
  • Collaborating with the Advisory Manager to develop crop-specific sales strategies
  • Interacting with industry influencers to promote products, expand the client base, and explore new product opportunities
  • Executing the NuWay strategy to grow in-house nutritional products and differentiate in the marketplace
  • Achieving sales budget targets as set by the company
  • Communicating product strategies with Portfolio Specialists and Regional Managers
  • Working with Crop Associations and Exporters to promote residue management solutions and raise awareness of products and services
  • Setting budgets for products and Crop Advisors to include in regional forecasts
