Job summary

Quantum Foods is seeking a Technical Advisor - Monogastric at its Nova Feeds Factory in Pretoria North. You will service clients in Gauteng, delivering technical advice on product use to maximize livestock production and provide after-sales service.

The role requires an agricultural degree and 2–4 years’ experience in a similar technical sales or advisory position, plus strong communication, planning and reporting skills. A valid driver’s licence and own transport are essential.

• Requires relevant agricultural degree (M.Sc. Agric, B.Sc Agric, B.Agric or equivalent).
• 2–4 years’ experience in a similar technical sales or advisory role.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement customer support plans.
• Maintain and manage agreed service levels.
• Visit customers to provide technical advice and support.
• Monitor farm feed quality and advise on product application and best practices.
• Prepare and administer sales documentation, reports and related records.
• Provide regular, accurate reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Quantum Foods is a diversified feeds, poultry and egg business providing quality animal protein to selected South African and African markets. Quantum Foods has a career opportunity at its Nova Feeds Factory in Pretoria North with the following vacancy: Technical Advisor - Monogastric. (Job Grade: Paterson C3)This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager and is responsible for servicing clients within the Gauteng and surrounding regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical advice on the correct products to use to enable livestock to reach their production potential as well as after sales service.

Purpose of the role:

• Develop and implement customer support plans.
• Managing and maintaining agreed service levels.
• Visiting customers and providing technical advice and support.
• Monitoring feed quality on farms and advising customers on product application and best practices.
• Preparing and administering sales documentation, reports and related records.
• Providing regular and accurate functional reports the Regional Sales Manager.
• Execute and supporting regional marketing initiatives and plans.

Requirements for the role:

• Relevant agricultural degree (M.Sc. Agric, B.Sc Agric, B.Agric, or equivalent).
• 2-4 years’ experience in similar technical sales or advisory role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and negotiations skills.
• Self-motivated, results driven and able to work independently.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Good planning, organisational and reporting abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Own reliable transport.
