Job summary

Sanlam Limited is seeking an accounting support professional to assist with routine tasks, journal entries, reconciliations, and data processing to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

You will help coordinate daily accounting activities, assist with reconciliations and documentation, and escalate issues as needed. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in financial services and an undergraduate or equivalent degree.

• Ability to classify and organize data using standard tools.
• Ability to retrieve data from databases and compile information for reports.
• Apply basic financial accounting principles to classify and record transactions.

Purpose of the Role

Provides support on routine accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, financial data processing. Assists in the preparation of financial reports and ensures compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls. Coordinates routine accounting activities and ensures accurate processing of financial transactions. Provides basic assistance with reconciliations, data entry, and financial documentation, and escalates discrepancies or issues as needed.
