Tech Officer: Jnr Customer Engineer (FS)

Reports to: Ops Manager: Onsite Operations (M/S6)

Core Description

Provision of routine hardware service or remote diagnostic activities under close supervision, ensuring achievement of contract service levels with contracted clients.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
  1. Maintain the configuration management system, including the configuration management database (CMDB), using appropriate operating systems, hardware, tools, and documentation.
  2. Perform the full range of tasks associated with operating and controlling installed hardware and software on a continual basis.
  3. Execute all tasks and procedures effectively and efficiently to meet service levels or specific requirements.
  4. Follow agreed plans or instructions for installing or removing hardware/software, ensuring all items are as described and tracked.
  5. Install or remove hardware/software using supplied instructions and tools, following standards.
  6. Support fellow technicians remotely via telephone using tools and customer software packages such as Remedy.
  7. Drive SLA diligently.
