Job summary

iOCO seeks an experienced Lead Developer to drive the design, development and delivery of enterprise-grade applications using .NET, Angular and Azure. Take ownership of technical delivery, mentor developers, and shape modern software solutions within an Agile environment.

You will provide hands-on leadership as you guide a team of engineers through the full SDLC, collaborate with analysts, manage scope and risks, and promote best practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years in a Technical Leadership or Lead Developer role.
• Proven experience with Angular 6+, C#/.NET, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases and Azure Cloud Services.
• Relevant IT degree or diploma.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on development while guiding the team through the full SDLC.
• Lead and mentor engineers, promote best practices, coding standards, testing, and quality.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate requirements, BDDs, and API specs into development.
• Manage scope, timelines, risks, and technical priorities to ensure successful delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Lead Developer, you will provide both technical leadership and hands-on development expertise while guiding a team of software engineers through the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, promoting development best practices, coding standards, testing, and software quality.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to ensure the seamless transition of requirements, BDDs, and API specifications into development.
• Drive the successful delivery of software solutions by managing scope, timelines, risks, and technical priorities.
• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex application and system issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Conduct peer reviews of solution designs and code to ensure quality and consistency across the development team.
• Support production deployments, migrations, and post-release activities when required.
• Coach and mentor developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 7 years' software development experience
• At least 2 years' experience in a Technical Leadership or Lead Developer role
• Strong experience developing applications using:
• Angular 6+
• C# / .NET
• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• SQL Server or other relational databases
• Microsoft Azure Cloud Services

Qualifications

• Relevant IT Degree, National Diploma, or equivalent practical experience.
