Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Technology Education Teacher to lead FET-level technology studies in Vereeniging. You will plan engaging lessons, run workshop sessions, and ensure learners access up-to-date tools and resources to build practical and theoretical skills for further studies or vocational paths.

The successful candidate will have a technology-focused degree (or a PGCE) with QTS, at least four years of teaching experience, and a strong commitment to safety and hands-on learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technology field or PGCE with tech focus.
• QTS or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years teaching technology education at FET level.
• Proficiency with technology education software and hardware.
• Strong safety protocol knowledge for workshop environments.
• Ability to teach and demonstrate practical skills in Vereeniging.

Responsibilities

• Teach FET-level Technology subjects, including engineering, graphics, and design.
• Develop dynamic lesson plans, practical exercises, and projects aligned with the curriculum.
• Manage technology workshops, tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Assess student performance through practical assignments, exams, and project evaluations.
• Stay current with technological advancements and integrate into the curriculum.
• Provide guidance to students on career paths related to technology and engineering.
