Job Purpose:

To effectively manage, monitor, supervise, and motivate a team of Personal Risk Advisors in an outbound Call Centre, towards achievement of department strategies and goals.

Job Outputs:

  • Achieve sales budget in units and premium
  • Recruit advisors promptly
  • Ensure a full team of Advisors to meet business objectives
  • Retain key employees
  • Manage disciplinary processes in conduct and performance as per SOP
  • Maintain employee supervision files
  • Action amendments on the FSCA register timely
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements by all consultants
  • Conduct coaching and training sessions regularly
  • Complete and file all training records
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Monitor system effectiveness and advise on interventions if needed
  • Identify and address potential compliance vulnerabilities and risks
  • Implement corrective actions for compliance risks
  • Manage leave and working times to ensure schedule adherence
  • Implement corrective actions from audit findings
  • Manage insurer referrals and out-of-mandate actions
  • Conduct team motivation sessions and meetings, including performance and probation reviews
  • Improve performance through coaching and training for under-performers
  • Prepare commission sheets for the team
  • Manage leads and reporting
  • Oversee daily sales activities

Qualifications:

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • RE 1 (advantageous)

Experience:

  • At least 2 years supervisory outbound Contact Centre Telesales experience
  • 3-4 years of operational experience in short-term insurance

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory landscape in the financial sector
  • Experience in drafting policies and SOPs
  • Ability to oversee and implement regulatory changes
  • Ability to cope under pressure
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
