Job description

County Fair, a Division of Astral Operations Limited, is seeking a Team Leader within the New Market Cold Store department in Epping.

The purpose of this position is to ensure the optimum planning, coordination, and execution of the department's daily workload across all functions, with adherence to schedules, company policies, standards, procedures, and staff management. The role includes accountability for managing stock within the N.M.C.S department.

Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Logistics/Warehouse/Cold Storage Management
Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in logistics, warehousing, cold storage, and stock control
Key Responsibilities
  • Daily planning, coordination, management, and execution of customer orders and deliveries across all shifts
  • Manage functions such as receiving, picking, administration, loading, and liaising with sales, transporters, and service providers
  • Hands-on management style, including office and floor management
  • Ensure all sales orders are correctly planned, allocated, picked, checked, and loaded according to instructions
  • Apply FIFO principles in stock handling
  • Plan and coordinate retail deliveries and communicate with production and sales teams regarding stock availability
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with transporters and monitor loading times
  • Conduct shift handovers, workload planning, and daily checks on the LN system
  • Manage stock transfers, cycle counts, and ensure proper product handling to maintain the cold chain
  • Oversee housekeeping, GMP, GHP compliance, and food safety documentation
  • Manage staff attendance, training, disciplinary actions, and ensure adequate staffing for shifts
  • Ensure equipment maintenance, stock control procedures, and safety protocols are followed
  • Report and address any operational issues or delays promptly
  • Promote continuous improvement and effective communication within the team and with external partners
  • Adhere to all legislative, safety, and company policies

  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Excel (intermediate level)

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Willingness to work shifts and in a cold storage environment
