Port Shepstone – KwaZulu Natal – South Africa

The successful candidate must be neat, well-organized, handle pressure, be deadline-driven, and will be responsible for supervising and motivating employees in the accounts department.

Financial Responsibilities include:

  1. Recording and monitoring of general ledgers, creditors, and debtors’ ledgers to the balance sheet.
  2. Developing projections and budgets.
  3. Developing and monitoring financial reports.
  4. Monitoring and improving departmental processes and procedures.

People Management

  1. Monitoring and recording staff performance.
  2. Conducting performance appraisals.
  3. Managing KPAs of subordinates.
  4. Identifying and implementing training and development plans.
  5. Coaching, mentoring, and motivating staff members.

The Ideal Applicant Will Have

  1. At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Management Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.
  3. Proficiency in Pastel, MS Office, Excel, and related financial software.
  4. Previous supervisory experience is beneficial.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
