The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in credit risk management and must hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Risk Management. Purpose Statement

Lead the effective implementation of the Quality Assurance plan within the Capitec Intuitive and Acquisition Credit assessment frameworks, and standards across a business unit in Capitec.

Experience

Min/Ideal:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit risk management, policy development, or assurance functions within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.
Qualifications (Minimum)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Risk Management
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
Knowledge

Min/Ideal:

  • Deep understanding of credit risk management frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and combined assurance models.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) principles.
  • Understanding of internal audit processes, risk control frameworks (and assurance standards).
  • Awareness of banking regulations and financial services industry standards.
