Job summary

Purpose Statement

To optimize credit performance and minimize risk by:

  • Managing and overseeing a team responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing credit intelligence policies, solutions, processes, and strategies across multiple workstreams.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality advanced statistical insights to influence credit decision-making.
Experience

Minimum:

  • 6-8 years of experience in retail credit, including advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and policy and process enhancement.
  • If holding an Honours degree: 5-7 years of experience in retail credit analysis, including SQL programming and descriptive analytics.
  • At least 3 years of portfolio-specific experience.
  • Experience contributing to credit principles, policies, frameworks.

Ideal:

  • Experience with Capitec Bank.
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Statistics.

Preferred:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Finance or Statistics.
