Job summary

Capitec Ltd seeks a Team Lead: Credit Intelligence Analysis to spearhead a team of analysts in managing an existing credit portfolio. You will guide analytics, predictive modelling and credit strategy to optimise performance and reduce risk.

You will bring 6-8 years' retail credit experience, with strong leadership skills, and demonstrable expertise in SQL analytics and portfolio management. A degree in Finance/Statistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of retail credit experience, with reduction to 5-7 years for honours.
• At least 3 years' portfolio-specific experience.
• Strong analytics experience in retail credit.
• SQL and descriptive analytics exposure.
• Bachelor's in Finance or Statistics, or a relevant postgraduate qualification (nice to have).
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching and influencing capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Credit Intelligence Analysts and Specialists.
• Influence portfolio management decisions and credit strategy optimisations.

About the Role

Are you an experienced Retail Credit professional who understands what it takes to manage and optimise an existing credit portfolio?

We’re looking for a Team Lead: Credit Intelligence Analysis to lead and develop a team of Credit Intelligence Analysts and Specialists within our Client Account Management environment.

Who is the role suited for?

This role is particularly suited to someone with strong experience in:

• Revolving credit portfolios, such as credit cards or store cards
• Account Management / Existing Business credit strategy
• Credit limit increases, decreases and exposure management
• Portfolio analytics, predictive modelling and credit strategy optimisation
• Pre-delinquency, collections and recoveries strategies
• Credit and/or collections scorecards
• Coaching and developing analytical teams

You’ll combine your credit expertise with strong analytical thinking to influence how we manage existing clients, optimise portfolio performance and proactively manage credit risk

What you will bring:

• 6-8 years' retail credit experience, with the applicable experience requirement reducing to 5-7 years for candidates with an Honours degree
• At least 3 years' portfolio-specific experience
• Strong retail credit analytics experience
• SQL and descriptive analytics exposure
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Statistics OR A relevant post graduate qualification in Finance or Statistics (nice to have)
• Strong leadership, coaching and influencing capability
