Purpose Statement

To effectively lead a team of Relationship Bankers in the Relationship Suite to ensure effective portfolio management, client activations, client retention, and revenue growth in agreed set targets. To lead and sustain a client-focused, high-performance, high-commitment environment within the Relationship Suite through day-to-day activity management, resource planning, and people management.

Experience

Minimum:

  1. Business Banking experience of at least 3 years
  2. At least 2 years supervisory / leadership experience
  3. Portfolio management experience
  4. Client relationship management experience
  5. Experience managing successful marketing and cross-sales campaigns
  6. Experience in preparing and motivating Credit applications
  7. Sales management experience is essential.

Ideal:

  1. Features, benefits, and value propositions of the respective company product/service offerings.
  2. Multi-level products available and pricing structures
  3. A good knowledge of administration processes and procedures pertaining to Business Banking transactions.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  1. A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Finance

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred):

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Finance

Knowledge

Minimum:

  1. Understanding of business banking and intuitive credit and portfolio management.
  2. Cross-selling campaign principles and practices to manage and optimize retention and growth within the Suite.
  3. Business Banking knowledge
  4. General banking practices and procedures.
  5. Knowledge of competitor product offerings / channels / operational and marketing tactics.
  6. Credit principles and practices, including an understanding of credit application, securities.
  7. Legal entities (companies, close corporations, sole proprietorships etc.) in the commercial market and the legislative restrictions and requirements governing these from a financial services perspective.
  8. Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).
