Job Title: Warehouse Teamleader

Location: Midrand, South Africa

Job Purpose

Coordinate activities of the Internal logistics team to ensure safe and efficient execution of the daily logistics working plan. Monitor employees and organize workflows to ensure smooth and efficient internal logistics processes. Optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing costs. Ensure logistics processes deliver maximum quality products profitably.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement best practices in transport & logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to improve performance.
2. Drive changes to align team behavior with customer needs.
3. Implement a performance-driven culture using Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Kaizen principles.
4. Provide direction to Internal Logistics teams, including Goods Inbound, Goods Outbound, and Deliveries.
5. Focus on health & safety, housekeeping, stock management, allergen control, and labeling.
6. Collaborate with External Logistics to ensure smooth T&D operations.
7. Lead and empower team members, manage operational metrics, and ensure accurate SAP data entry.
8. Manage coverage issues, overtime, and cross-training activities.
9. Coordinate with Maintenance for repairs and equipment management.
10. Troubleshoot operational problems and improve stock accuracy to 98%.
11. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
12. Support project engineers with specific tasks from new projects.
13. Record operational deviations and issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Warehouse/Operations experience.
• Leadership experience in Warehousing, Transport & Distribution.
• Knowledge of SAP and Warehouse Management systems.
• Understanding of food safety standards (GMP, FSSC, Food Defense, Food Safety).
• Knowledge of International Standards (ISO, OHSAS).
• Well-organized, able to work under pressure, good time management, capable of working independently and in teams.
