Job summary

ADvTECH’s schools division seeks experienced educators for the FET phase in a private high school in the Western Cape. Responsibilities include planning and delivering future-focused curriculum, assessing student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with staff, parents and the community.

The role requires a degree with PGCE/B.Ed, SACE certification, police clearance and 2–5 years of teaching and subject-specific experience. Strong literacy, IT skills and First Aid are desirable.

Qualifications

• A degree (NQF level 7) with PGCE or B.Ed (FET) specialization.
• SACE certification and police clearance are required.
• 2–5 years teaching and 2–5 years specialist subject teaching.
• Proficiency in computer and digital literacy; First Aid certification is a plus.

Duties

Educators in the FET phase will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing appropriate instructional programs in a high school environment that guide and encourage students to develop and fulfil their academic potential and prepare them for life after graduation. They will need :-
