Job summary

Outsourcing To South Africa PTY is seeking a Tax Team Manager to lead a growing tax team in a hybrid arrangement with office days in Johannesburg. You will own day-to-day workflow, drive accuracy, and implement smarter, technology-driven processes to scale operations.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in tax, strong leadership and client-facing communication, and an interest in AI and automation. Start date is immediate; the role is full-time with hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Has at least 5 years of tax experience, preferably with strong experience in individual tax, SARS and eFiling.
• Has strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Understands workflows, processes and operational efficiency.
• Has a strong interest in AI, automation and technology, and understands how these tools can be used to optimise workloads and improve team performance.
• Is highly organised, proactive and able to take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the team's day-to-day workflow and allocation of work.
• Manage tax matters, supporting team members and ensuring client deliverables are met.
• Oversee tax returns and medical tax rebates where applicable.
• Handle SARS disputes, objections and verification processes.
• Manage SARS eFiling and daily administration tasks.
• Lead team management, training and workflow improvements.
• Assist with client consultations and documentation as needed.
• Drive AI, automation and process improvements to scale operations.
