Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals. This position can be based out of Century City on a hybrid basis. The Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and tax aspects related to assigned client accounts.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and train assigned Staff Accountants and Account Managers.
  2. Review and possibly prepare moderate to complex, multi-state tax returns (individual, S corporation, C corporation, partnership, estate, and trusts).
  3. Stay informed of changing state and federal laws, policies, and economic/political factors affecting clients’ finances.
  4. Supervise and review the preparation of tax returns by Staff Accountants and Senior Staff Accountants.
  5. Conduct tax research, multi-jurisdictional planning, and foreign touring clearances.
  6. Review financial reports such as net worth statements, cash flow schedules, budgets, investment analyses, and tour reconciliations.
  7. Communicate with clients and representatives via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  8. Act as a coach and trainer to develop staff into efficient client team members, addressing performance issues as needed.
  9. Assist the Managing Director in identifying and onboarding prospective clients.
  10. Support Account Managers to ensure high customer service levels, assisting with contracts, budgets, home purchases, tours, and year-end processes.
  11. Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree with at least 4+ years in a similar role.
  2. Master's Degree, CPA, and/or 6+ years in a similar role are highly preferred.
  3. Basic understanding of AgilLink is highly preferred.
  4. Familiarity with GoSystems, CCH Axcess, or SurePrep.
  5. Proven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, and regulations.
  6. Sense of urgency and ability to follow through.
  7. Commitment to professionalism and accuracy.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills for building trust with staff and clients.
  9. Prior exposure to royalties, touring services, music publishing, and record label administration is highly preferred.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $110,009 - $145,000. Actual pay may vary based on experience, expertise, location, and skills. Compensation includes base salary, potential bonuses, and benefits. Employment is contingent upon verification of education and work experience. Falsification may lead to employment denial.
