PKF Constantia Valley Cape Town Inc. is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead and oversee our tax department in Diep River, Cape Town. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and a track record in an accounting or audit practice environment.

You will guide a team of tax professionals, manage client portfolios, ensure compliance across all tax types, and provide expert guidance to clients and colleagues while driving process improvements and high service standards.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Taxation or related field.
• Registered Tax Practitioner.
• SAIT membership or recognised professional tax accreditation.
• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience.
• At least 5 years' management or supervisory experience.
• Experience managing client tax portfolios and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the management, performance, and strategic direction of the Tax Department.
• Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop members of the tax team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and professional growth.
• Manage departmental workflow, resource allocation, deadlines, and client deliverables to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Remain actively involved in the day-to-day tax compliance function, including the preparation, review, and submission of tax returns across all tax types.
• Drive continuous improvement within the department by implementing best practices, improving processes, and maintaining high professional standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of tax professionals managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance across all tax types, and providing expert tax guidance to both clients and colleagues.
