Legal Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to our legal team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our legal office. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited legal experience who are eager to learn and develop their skills in a professional environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Administrative Support: Assist attorneys with preparing, filing, and maintaining legal documents. Manage legal files, schedule meetings, appointments, and court dates. Handle phone calls, messages, and correspondence.
  2. Document Preparation: Draft and proofread legal correspondence and documents. Assist with discovery, pleadings, and case briefs. Conduct initial document reviews for case preparation.
  3. Research: Conduct basic legal research and stay updated on legal procedures and regulations affecting the firm.
  4. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients for scheduling and updates, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  5. Additional Duties: Support billing and invoicing, maintain office supplies, and perform other tasks as assigned by senior staff.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred. Recent graduates or final-year students encouraged to apply.
