Job summary

Staff Solutions in East London, Eastern Cape, invites applications for a junior tax administrator. The role focuses on general tax administration, processing tasks, and assisting with the preparation and submission of individual and company income tax returns, while delivering timely SARS responses.

You will conduct visits to SARS branches, support senior tax consultants, and maintain accurate client records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a tax-related role in South Africa (SARS).
• Valid SA driver's license and own transport for SARS visits.
• Strong understanding of SARS systems (eFiling, e@syFile).
• Working knowledge of Income Tax, Provisional Tax and dispute resolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Handle general tax administration and processing tasks.
• Assist with preparation and submission of individual and company income tax returns.
• Attend to SARS-related queries and correspondence.
• Conduct visits to SARS branches.
• Support senior tax consultants with day-to-day case management.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, documentation, and submissions.
• Liaise with clients to obtain tax information and provide status updates.
• Liaise with clients regarding engagement status with the Group.
