Job summary

Jackie Cory Recruitment is assisting a client in filling a Tax Compliance Officer role based in Gqeberha/East London. The position is office-based and offers a market salary.

You will assist with tax returns, respond to SARS queries, visit SARS branches, and support senior tax consultants with case management. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of tax-related experience in South Africa, a valid SA driver's license with own transport, and solid knowledge of eFiling and Provisional Tax

Qualifications

• 2+ years of tax-related experience in SA with SARS exposure.
• Knowledge of Income Tax and Provisional Tax processes.
• Strong client liaison and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and submission of individual and company income tax returns.

Requirements

• At least 2 years' experience working in a tax-related position in South Africa (SARS experience)
• Over 25 years of age with a valid SA driver's license and own transport (for SARS visits)
• Strong understanding of SARS systems (eFiling, e@syFile, etc.) and Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of Income Tax, Provisional Tax, and dispute processes.
