Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a Tax Compliance Officer to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg. This role involves preparing and compiling SARS Tax Clearance documents, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will work closely with external Tax Practitioners and various teams at banking partners to facilitate client trading processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of relevant work experience, with strong skills in client management and proficiency in essential software. Job description

Position: Tax Compliance Officer

Office location: Johannesburg (Bedfordview)

Job Description:

  1. Preparation and compilation of SARS Tax Clearance documents
  2. Assistance with verifying Tax Compliance of clients
  3. Relationship management with external Tax Practitioner on SARS Tax Clearance submissions
  4. Working within a tax and exchange control team to efficiently deal directly with client queries
  5. Keeping the system (CRM) up to date with client progress and approvals
  6. Relationship management with affiliates
  7. Preparation and compilation of Emigration documents
  8. Liaising with the various teams at our banking partners to ensure SARS TCC's and emigration processes are in place for clients to trade

Education, experience and skills:

  1. A Bachelor's Degree (at minimum)
  2. Work experience of at least 1 year within Fiduciary Services / banking / Exchange Control department
  3. Extremely comfortable with being client facing
  4. Proficiency in Word, Excel, e-filing and Salesforce (advantageous)
  5. General office administration
  6. FAIS RE5 (within the first 3 months, if not already obtained)
  7. SAIT registration

Remuneration: Salary package offers a basic salary and will join the company incentive structure. The package includes a standard Medical Aid contribution and Death and Disability covered by the company.
